Space is limited for each opportunity! Email us today volunteer@wtap.org to sign up for a specific date/time slot!

Deliveries:

Deliver furniture and household items to new refugee families - join us on Saturdays from 8:45am to 1pm.

Clothes Closet:

Two Saturdays each month, WTAP volunteers can now serve the refugee families at Rancho Encanto Apartments by working in the new Clothes Closet.  Here, we distribute gently used clothing, shoes, purses and children’s books in a peaceful atmosphere of kindness and friendship - join us on Saturdays from 8:45am to 12noon.

Storage Upkeep:

Keep our storage units organized and ready for deliveries - join us once a month - schedule varies.

Back Office Help:

Carry out administrative work, sometimes from your home! We have jobs in excel spread sheets, creating name tags, making flyers, writing letters, help us maintain our data base, and making phone calls to our volunteers. This can be done any day - you can choose.

Home Visits:

Go with another team member and interview our newly referred families to greet them and make a list of what they need for their home. There are a number of teams, so the commitment can be as little as once every two months or as often as every month.  These take place on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

Packing:

Help pack for the family deliveries each week on Tuesday mornings at the storage units in Tempe.

Donation Drive:

Coordinate a donation drive within your neighbor, school, work community, church, etc.  (examples:  clothing, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene items, towels, sheet sets, soccer balls, toys, light bulbs, shoes, etc)
