Burmese FlagOur first family is a mother age 27 and three children, a girl 8, a boy 6 and a girl 5. They are from Burma and speak the Kaya language. Our interpreter was Karen so we were unable to get much information. They arrived here in Phoenix from a refugee camp in Thailand at the end of May this year. The mother lived in the refugee camp for 10 years. The children are not in school yet as they wait for necessary immunizations. They seemed to be happy and energetic children.
